Apparently size is important after all.

Finding gigs that are suitable for a good solid Looptron-ing is proving trickier than I though. Given the minimalistic nature of my setup I reckon playing smaller rooms along the lines of the fantastic Synthetic bash I was at few weeks back would be optimal but it just doesn't seem like there are that many of those around. There are lots of DJ based electro nights in the right size bars but with no bands, and lots of band nights where they deploy slightly more, er, extensive acts often with more than one member in bigger rooms with bigger stages... very little middle ground. Still, the hunt continues for ideal venues, failing which I'm just gonna start turning up at peoples houses and playing in their lounge.

Hmmmmm, now there's an idea.... I wonder...

Still I can take some solace in my new 80s-tastic 25th anniversary edition Casio G-Shock reissue watch. They're exactly as rubbish and plasticky as the ones I coveted all those years ago.... bliss. :-)
